Nc30 frame questions
I got two questions guys, I'm stumped and need to address these two issues before I begin my rebuild from the ground up.
1st the adjuster bolt for the swinger. Darn thing will not budge at all. This is the piece that on the right side the axle goes through to hold the swinger to the frame. Any tricks to remove this? Can't remove the swinger till I get this adjuster bolt off. Have no problem removing the axle nut and the castle/locking nut and the axle but the darn adjuster won't budge.
2nd is hard to explain but here we go. On the right side the right infill plastic mounts to the frame. A 10mm bolt I believe goes into a nut that is somehow pressed into the frame and doesn't move. Well my problem is my bolt just keeps spinning when I try to turn it out. I can see a small part of that nut I'm talking and it's just spinning. Any ideas how to remove this and if I do I must not lose this in the frame cuz I see no holes where I could get this back out.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great
thanks
Jason

Re: Nc30 frame questions
Answer to the first question, you need a special tool to remove the swingarm nut,you could get them from ebay.
Answer to the 2nd question, the bit that's spinning in the frame is a 6mm captive nut 10mm spanner size it will have to be drilled out and a new one fitted.

Re: Nc30 frame questions
I already removed the swing arm nut both the one on the left side n the crazy castle/locking nut that fits over the adjuster bolt. Just can't budge the adjuster bolt. And as for the other problem I am to afraid I will loose it inside the frame if I try to drill it

Re: Nc30 frame questions
On the nearside there's a bolt, that's the opposite side to the castellated nut that you say that you've removed. Have you removed this nut? It's a decent size nut, maybe 27mm, memory doesn't serve.
If you have then the bolt should unscrew from the right hand side with a 14mm allen bolt. I don't think it's mega tight either. If it won't shift then it can only be decay holding it in. A big lever ought to do it.

How hard can it be?

Re: Nc30 frame questions
Yes I removed both the nuts U described the castle/locking nut n the nut on the other side which is a 27mm. Which now I can remove the axle/long bolt but there's still the adjuster bolt left in there that I can't remove. I put the axle/long bolt back in cuz that's how u remove the adjuster bolt n it now seems stripped. Anyone got any genious ideas before this begins to get ugly for this adjuster bolt n I'm forced to get a new one?

Re: Nc30 frame questions
Wow it must be one huge Allen key. Biggest I got is 17mm n it goes right through. If someone could tell me what size Allen gets this out I'll try n find the right one but to be honest never even seen bigger then 17mm haha.

Re: Nc30 frame questions
Update on my problem with the adjuster bolt for the swinger in the frame.
I finally removed it by pounding a bolt head first into the adjuster and then running a bead around it so the bolt was welded to the adjuster and then i put a 4' pipe wrench on the bolt and it still took two guys to turn this thing out. Well the adjuster is out now but my threads are alittle screwed up in the frame. So i was wondering can anyone tell me what size tap to buy for this hole in the frame so i can tap it and hopefully have enough threads to get the adjuster back into the frame when im ready. I know this is a big tap i will need but im sure acouple places around my area will have one that big but since i dont got alot of threads to work with here to find out for myself it would be super if someone could help me out here. I may have to sleeve the adjuster and tap the frame bigger but im hoping i dont have to do that and want to at least attempt to tap the hole the same size as orginal. please need help here badly
thanks again for all ur help with everything guys
