Pillion seat lock mechanism

Post by CharlieK » Wed Nov 24, 2010 4:34 pm

I'm putting my NC30 back together after having all the pannels sprayed, (RWB Lovely!) trouble is I cannot remember how the mechanism for the pillion seat catch goes back together, I've had a look in the Heinus manual but no joy, could someone post a pick of their mechanism, that would be really helpful, thanks guys. Bit difficult to show it clearly, hope these pics help. Theres a 10mm bolt on the top of sub frame, all I've done is undo it and turn locking mechanism round by 90 degrees.

:plus: On my bike it's an 8mm head bolt holding the mechanism in and as I fitted mine only last weekend I can also tell you that the cable runs around the outside of the first bracket (from the key lock)and not through the little hole, then when it gets to the second bracket you put it through the little hole. oh and put a little copper grease on all the bolts as the rear earth is shite.
I knows it cause I did it!

No worries. When I unbolted it to take a pic the thing fell to pieces in my hand anyway. Used my own picture as a referance to put it back together!
