will a honda bros rear wheel fit a nc30

Post by mrsheerline » Sat Nov 20, 2010 12:44 am

a question to you experts, am i wright in thinking a honda bros rear wheel will fit a nc30, they are both single sided swing arms and a bird riding a nc30 at the betws bike car park had a bros wheel on her nc30, well thats what she said any way, the advantage whould be 1. 17" tyre fitment 2.they look very fancy with those curves 3. i think they are wider than a nc30, am i wright in saying bros did a 400cc and a 600cc both with 17" wheels

I believe the Bros was either a 400 or a 650.

The rear tyre is the same as the NC35, 150/60/17

If you like the way it looks then it shouldn't be too difficult to fit, however the NC35 wheel looks more authentic.

Not sure on costs, bros' have a good following even though they were a sales disaster.

If only you lived here in Thailand, the Bros is a popular bike over here and i even know of a garage that has a spare.
It's a bit of a strange looking rear wheel for a VFR/RVF when compared to standard or a proper mag/Ducati set up...

Just so happens I have a Bros rear wheel in the garaghe that I have used on ym NC30.

it is not a straight fit - I have a large spacer under the original NC spacer and also the rear has been slightly modded to fit.

Want some pics? I'm happy to get rid as it only wore my inters for the year..and they never got used!!

It is ont wider - it is 4.5/17, same as RVF
IMPERATOR REX ANGLORUM

The V4 is the law..

NC30 - No9 - my old mate

Bros alignment pins are further out, 85nc vs 100nt pcd, so either wheel or spindle needs holes/pins modded. Also will need spacer on the axle as the area where the spacer goes is thinner, bros axle is shorter.

I know some Bros owners have fitted NC30 hubs into the Bros swing arm but I don't know how involved it was, the reverse may be possible too. The rim sizes are identical, if it's not just for the 3-spoke look then get an NC35 wheel.

to put the nc30/35 wheel on a Bro's the wheel alignment pins need to be moved and the nc30/35 axle and conus (spacer) need to be used. I know, I run that setup on mine.

However, the hubs are a straight swap and eliminate the need to modify the pins location.
