Dewalt batteries are apparently good for the job. and a fast 1 hour charge lithium Ion cell setup.skinnydog0_0 wrote:Hi all,

I've been using these Speedcell brand A123's in both my NC35's for over a year without any issues. There's a lot of much cheaper varieties (including Chinese knockoffs) to be had on eBay but these came highly recommended. They weigh very little are maintenance free and and come with the quick release harness.

Avoid the cheap and nasty Chinese lithium-ion batteries. They are shite.JB wrote: There's a lot of much cheaper varieties (including Chinese knockoffs) to be had on eBay

Re: Smallest 12v 9ah battery
Hi, if its a race bike and still have the generator but dont use or have the starter just use 10 aaa batteries, nimh ones are best.
I dont like Li ion cells, they have very perticular charge - discharge needs and as sony will confess to they burst into flames if there not kept! I've not had much experience with LiPo cells, they seems alot more stable from wat ive read but still require a ballanced charging circuit.
I'm going to experiment on me KLR (its got a kick start) with an old laptop battery and keep the battery internal charging circuit and maybe make a high current discharge circuit.
Cheers.
Ian
