sticky tyres ? What would you recomend??
Hi all, im new to nc30 ownership, can you fellars save me some time and trouble phoning the tyre manufacturers and let me know what the gripyest tyres are for my bike please? standard 18" rear and 17" front. Millage isn't an issue, ill be using the bike to do track days on and the occasional smoke round on when / if the sun comes out next year!
Ive bought this bike as ive been drag racing for 3 years and even though i really enjoy it and will be competeing again next year i need to go round some bends again, i thought the nc30 would be a great little tool for the job!!! Many thanks Racer-X.

Bridgestone BT090 or Dunlop Alpha 10's are your weapons of choice, id be tempted to go for the dunlops if its mainly track, great tyre

I have used both the 090's and the Alpha 10's and my verdict is both are great tyres I would say for road riding use the 090's.. For track I would go with Alpha 10's but both tyres you will be spiltting hairs regarding performance and I would be happy use either...
I have found the 090's to give great feedback esp in real word condition and they warm up well even in cold winter conditions.. The Alpha 10's have a "massive" amount of grip on the track but lack the feed back the 090's have and I find don't warm up as well as the Bridgestone's.. Dont bother with any of the supersport tyres (ZR) rated as this is over kill on a small 400cc machine and they will not really get up to temperature due to the lower power going through the tyre..
