NC30 - K - Clutch Cable
im actually really annoyed with DSS, i ordered part number
22870-MR8-000 for my R3K NC30
and was supplied a cable aparently suitable for a R3N and theres a massive difference in size and i cannot adjust the cable as its to long and is useless.
http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/part ... 870MR8000/
according the "Keith" at DSS there discontinued and they cant get me a clutch cable. so basically my bike has been written off over the sake of a £15 cable!
firstly why is there a difference in lenght between models.
secondly anyone wanna buy my useless cable before i return it to DSS
thirdly i need a cable where can i get one?
also for the interest of the forum when you do a search for parts and it comes up with the description i was informed to day that when it says !D at the end of the part name it means its discontinued
eg
22870-MR8-000CABLE COMP..CLUTC !D

I don't see what the difference is? Seems like they sent you a duff cable, so get it sent back. I've got one on the bike I am breaking..want it?

Re: NC30 - K - Clutch Cable
if it is the wrong item and a mistake on their part, packaging should make no difference with the return as your not at fault.
however if you can find the packaging i find it does always make it easier with returning products, whether its your fault or not.

Re: NC30 - K - Clutch Cable
really confused as the part number on the bag is
22870-MR8-020
and the part number on the cable is
9H17-MR8-020
there adament at DSS that the cable should fit? but as the pic suggests i say otherwise!
are there actually differences between the nc30 models/version?
a guy on ebay says there universal for all NC30s?

Re: NC30 - K - Clutch Cable
funnily enough i bought one from ebay the other week as mine was a bit worse for wear. i have had to set the adjuster on the bar & at the clutch itself to pretty much maximum & she only just bites. i have offered it up to my original cable and it is also longer, even though my original has stretched over time.
i know my clutch is fine as i replaced all the plates in the summer and everything inside is correct, i can check the codes on my old cable and the replacement i recieved it is of any help to you?

Re: NC30 - K - Clutch Cable
that would help.
i wanna get this sorted as im pissed off, esp being told they dont make a cable for my bike no more!
its not as if it isnt an essential part! and its a wearable not a costmetic part.
