1990 GSXR400 Approximate Value Please :)

Post by Oliveira »

Hi All,

Second post today......I need some advice

Sorry for the long winded post

I have a friend (a father of one of my daughters school friends) who mentioned he had a GSXR400 in his garage for a while now (my ears pricked up and I payed more attention  ) this was a while back.

I haven't seen him for about 4 months until I bumped into him on Friday we got talking and I asked him.....so when are you going to sell me your bike? He said make me an offer and I'll consider it....he said the minimum he'll take is £2000 or maybe £1800, personally I think this is very expensive, seeing as it's been stood for about 7 years, he say's all it needs is a new battery and tyres.....personally I don't think so.

The bike is a 1990 GSXR400, what sort of price do these bikes sell for?? I know there is alot to take into consideration, milage, condition, owners, etc etc.

What is an approximate value for a Gixer400 from this year in average condition and bought as a non starter....how much would you offer??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Helder

no more than £500...

no MOT, needs full fluid change, will need new carb O rings...at least.

it is a non running, fussy and good looking motorbike! It is not a sought after, reliable future classic.. ;)

CMSMJ1 is right about the price, you could get a runner with MOT, tyres and chain, etc. for under£800.
I dont find them fussy tho, any 400 is old now and they all have ther problems e.g V4 genny's and reg's are cheese.
