The 116 jets were a recomendation from rick on the setup that im running, twin pipes, tuned motor etc. 116 might be just a little to big on a standard tune but what do i know  might be worth tapping up rick to see what he thinks.

Yep! thats one of the quickest ways to remove weight from ya bike.
If its good enough for the mighty V4 then is got to be good for my lowly Gixer.
Im unsure as to K7 or K5 stators but ive a K5 flywheel and it is 618g as per the K7, as i see it you can run with the cheapest you can find, altho as im unable to say if any flywheel works with any stator i'd go with matching models.
Going to be a little more work on the Suzi as the taper is not a match but we have the power. :peace:

I emailed Rick O about using/interchanging k7 and k5 parts and he seemed to think that it was not possible. I am Not 100% either as the stator on the K7 has fewer coil windings from the pics i have seen. So not sure if the K5 magnets would line up/produce a 3 phase current with a K7 stator? This is just a guess and i may well be wrong, i will see if i can find a pic showing the differences.

I talked to Rick last night about it, it's either GSXR1000 K5 or K7, you can't mix.

Great info guys! Had some questions for Rick O. too, so I e-mailed him earlier, but I now understand you all have had similar questions like me for him. Basicly we will need either full K7 or full K5 stuff with it. Definately want this conversion kit on my project bike :geek: Rick hopefully has one kit for me

Hi guys,

Sorry to bring this thread back to life but i noticed comments about the cover getting really hot and thought id shed some light on it. When we designed the cover me made it thinner than standard to compensate for the extra material to mount the stator on. i think it is actually lighter than the standard cover. i have never weighed one to compare. Due it being thinner, its going to increase how quickly it absorbs heat so dont worry its just matching the temp of the rest of the engine.

i ran the prototype on my 1991 v4 with k5 bits for 2months before i sold the bike no problems at all, most awsome bit of kit weve ever machined! Ill be running anouther batch of 5 covers off for rick oliver over the christmas period ;)

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the advice, and yes i must say to all those that dont have one GET ONE these really do make a massive difference
I have to say these covers really are bike porn, very well made; great bit of engineering.
