Tri Arm gets stay of execution

Post by Fluffy »

well was dissapointed it only got to £300 on ebay, they buyer came and somehow thought they'd bought a running bike....
what part of "engine has blow up" they didn't egt I'm not sure!

So I've decided it can stay.......

Plans are source new engine get fitted and tuned up, If anyone can suggest and economical tweaks for
these engines I'd love to hear them!

I'll also need to find track fairings as I plan on using this now in Roadstocks next year :D

Oh and I'll need new pipes

going to do a grounf up rebuild make sure everything is a near to perfect as it can be!

(oh this aint going to be cheap is it..... may be back on the road sometime in spring 2009!)

just get another engine fluff...spend the time on the suspension, when you find you dont have enough power...then tweak the engine...trust me

So I may have a hope of being more than a mobile chicane out at mallory then ??!! lol
Need to be able to run at at least 1:13 at mallory not to be an embarresment,
last time out I was running out of ponies on the start finish straight... at the pit entry area a good couple hundred metres before I wanted to be losing any speed at all

Sounds like the gearing was too low.
I run 14/43 which is not bad - starting to run out of puff just before I slow for Gerrards

What revs were you pulling at this point?

fluff...get a range of rear sprockets...what u need over there im unsure...for me here in australia(using the nc29 rear wheel) 14/41..and 42 for short tracks, 15/39 and 40 for the highspeed tracks
all in 520p..which is a thinner chain, less weight, which means a tad more power.
what your looking for is the bike to pull maximum rpm on the longest straight...but also take into consideration, the less gearchanges you have to make the better...something to think about

cheers stimpy, the club I'll race with only uses one circuit so once I have the right set up there will be no need to chop and change :D
