Caliper Upgrade Options?
Hi,
Is there a simple bolt on brake caliper replacement for the Honda CBR400 NC29?
I have searched the forum and looked at front end conversions but I would just be wanting to upgrade the brakes.
Thanks

I don't know of any bolt-on calipers but I think you can get adapter plates for the NC29 for certain calipers.
What some people do is fit NC30 fork lowers so that the NC30 calipers can be used.

Is there someone on the forum who sells the adapters or is it a company that makes them?

Re: Caliper Upgrade Options?
The NC30 has the same fork bottoms as the NC29 doesn't it?
I was on Jap4performance website but could not see the adapter.
Do you have to contact them for it?
Also what calipers do the brackets allow you to use?

Re: Caliper Upgrade Options?
No, they are different. You need to fit NC30 sliders to the NC29 stanchions and then you can fit the brackets (also sold on here by Rick Oliver)lloydspencer wrote:The NC30 has the same fork bottoms as the NC29 doesn't it?
Or, jsut get a '30...they are cooler..

Re: Caliper Upgrade Options?
Sorry to sound dumb but just to clarify.
- I need to first purchase some NC30 sliders.
Will any year NC30 fit?
Will the NC29 Wheel, Wheel spindle etc all still fit?
- Then I can buy the adaptors from either jap4performance or the guy on here
- Then Can I fit any 65mm mounting calipers?
For example these that are on ebay atm

Re: Caliper Upgrade Options?
When I order the Bracket I am sure they can clarify the sizing and what caliper I need :)
Thanks for you answers.
I have a question about the NC30 sliders.
Graeme France does an uprated front fork kit for the NC29. Are the internals on the NC30 the same? Or will I have to buy a NC30 uprated front fork kit?
