NC30 Jetting

Post by GCD »

I recently tried putting a Factory Pro jet kit in my bike. I have already been told on this forum that it was not such a good idea as they do not seem to work well, but I had already purchased the kit, so..... I started with the 118 and 115 jets rear and front respectivily , and it was way too rich. Now using the 115 and 112 jets with the needles adjusted. Iis better, mid rage is really good, but it is still not pulling how I would expect in the top end. Bottom end is not that flash either.

I did not ride with the bike with the original jets, so can't compare with the original 110 size jets. This is my first NC30. Compared to my previous NC29, it seems way underpowered. Any suggestions? Should I put the orignial needles and jsts back in?

Not sure on these jets and needles.

I take it you have an 89 bike as these run 110's (and are lean from stock)

The general concensus is

118F 120R

Standard needles shimmed 1mm seems to work well enough for most people.
