Re: BT090s
I'm thinking of opting for some Roadsmarts on my NC30 once my 090s have run out. The Dunlops were excellent on my Superfour, whatever the weather. Lasted well too and I notice they do them in a 160/60x18 on Ebay...

bt016's are awsome, and good for track days :) the new bt023 Sport Touring will last and stick.
both available in 160-60-18.

Re: BT090s
The '016s dont come in a 150/60 18... Have got a 160/60 18 '016 on the back of my NC23 RRK after it ate two 090's? Plenty of tread left but squared off quickly... 016's are wearing a lot better! Is there not a 17" replacement wheel for the NC30's?slo12 wrote:bt016's are awsome, and good for track days :) the new bt023 Sport Touring will last and stick.

Re: BT090s
which ever you like. All the tire manufacturers reccomend 160 on a 4.5" rim, with a 120 front on a 3.5".banoffee wrote:I thought it was best to stick with a 150?
But it comes down to the tire's you like, and the feel you like. There are some who will tell you you "must" or "should", but it's really what you want that matters.
For street riding the new ST tires are better than track tires 10 years ago (maybe 5) and actually warm up quicker, and work better in the wet.

Re: BT090s
Ive got a 160 Avon rear 18" on my Red/black NC30, it just catches the chain on the rim of the tyre, but you can get the kit off Rick O which moves the chain over slightly, its only 14quid!

Re: BT090s
160/60 on an 18 is really tall and balloon looking profile. Not the equivalent of a 160 on a 17 inch rim...
I think it looks wrong! It probably lifts the rear a touch too as it will be taller than 150/60.
