I'm fairly sure that the CBR400RR NC29 Canswill fit on a standard RVF system, so might be worth looking for a can for an NC29 aswell :peace:

Your good authority is wrong then!
MTC do some assembly for Ian when he is to busy to cope, they make all there own end caps and sleeves.
They are just haveing a pipe bender installed as well so everything will be done in-house. They are a customer of mine, hence know the factory quite well ;)
Yes they do have a working relation ship with MTC but they are not made by or linked to MTC at all. And I also know Martin at MTC very well as well. Not having a go but if some one said something about your stuff that was not true you would not like it would you! ;)

I thought that too.... until I bought a couple of mufflers for CBR250/400's (same fitment to these 2 models) hoping to fit them to my RVF system. They didn't fit without significant modification. :(

The bolt mounts on CBR's are located too centrally (too far in), you have to elongate the RVF system mount holes to fit the CBR pipe, not a direct bolt on. At first I though it was dodgy manufacturing of the mufflers, but on further investigation it appears the CBR & RVF mounts are different (why Mr Honda? :?: ) - they just look the same from a distance!

I ended up fitting the CBR muffler to my standard RVF system. But it did take a fair bit of work with a rotary tool and a round file to get it all sorted.

It was worth it though, the Chinese carbon CBR pipe cost a total of 60 quid, is good quality for the price, sounds decent and works well on my budget bike build.

I had an MTC Can for the 24, great can. Light and sounded great.

Cut it up and pillaged it for bits in the end and the construction inside was good too. Bit of a shame really but I had no use for it in the standard form...
