Uprated Clutch Spings for NC30/35 - any interest?
NC30 clutch spring sets have now been discontinued by Mr Honda and are no longer available, which has prompted me to talk to my spring maker about producing a batch to fill the gap.
What I have in mind is to produce a spring which is 30% or so stronger than stock so that a stack of three will be equivalent to the usual uprate of using four stock Honda ones.
In order to get the selling price close to the OE figure of around £39.00 a set I will have to order 100 springs (33 sets).
If I`m going to do this I`d like to be able to sell at least half of them fairly quickly to offset the outlay - is there enough interest to make it worth doing...?
Please drop a note on here if you are a potential customer.
As mentioned elsewhere I am also thinking about HRC carb springs for NC30s so let me know if there`s any market for those at around £22.00 a set.

Doesn't EBC not issue some springs in one of their kits?
I have a few spares from the multiple clutches I have swapped over the years.
Am liking the iea of the slide springs Rick, but I reckon you'll find most people got carried away and drilled their slides too...
I have some NC24 round bottomed slides that I'd use with the springs, so I'd have some of them please.

That's daft of Mr Honda seeing as you can still get OE NC24 clutch springs

NC24's use coil springs, the NC30 uses weird ass diaphragm springs. Might explain it?thunderace wrote: That's daft of Mr Honda seeing as you can still get OE NC24 clutch springs
