Yep he seemed to have sold it for £185 but if you read his diclamer and Q&A at the bottom he actually refused bids under £300 as it sold for that to a guy up the road.

He definitely didn't end the auction early though which leads me to suspect his 'disclaimer' that he had been offered £300 was a ruse to try and encourage bidding.

Yep quite possibly, see if it pops up on ebay again in the future.
