i just used these and some washers,

m6 coupler my fastner charged me 3p each
washers were pitence, probally like 0.5p each lol
and threaded rod was free as the guy oposite had a fuck load which he gave me!
but even so its only a few quid for a few lengths from screwfix. just cut it to length and file or grind the faces of with a chamfer.

oh and i copper slipped the fuck out of everything,
i had one m8 stud on the left rear
and the front right had an homemade bracket as the stud had snapped in there too!

This has come up on here so many times.
If you have access to a welder find a nut that will slip over the stud,
weld the nut to the stud,let it cool down then remove with a socket.

Might buy an easy out set and try that as I don't know anyone with a welder and have no way of transporting the bike to someone who has.
