Shock absorber re-gassing.

Hi, i've just had an aprilia rs250 rebuilt and set up to go into my nc30.
However, when i got it back i realised the reservoir was facing the wrong way, so i tried undoing the pinch bolt as little as possible to swivel it and a load of the gas/ oil or whatever squirted out
Now when fitted to the bike, it is really spongy and drops way too far when i sit on the bike, would this be purely because i have lost too much gas out of the reservoir?

And does anybody know of anywhere in the North East that can re gas it? I'm trying to find somewhere around newcastle area as i don't want to have to send it off again just for a re gas.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've also just turned my reservoir around to reach the holding bracket and lost a bit of oil/gas. Im sure there'll be a workshop somewhere in westgate road that'll do it. Let me know if you find one!

You'll definitely need a bike suspension specialist to re-gas it but as thats all you need I would imagine it wouldn't matter if they were a road/race bike specialist or motocross specialist so you could try G Force Suspension Services who's website says they specialise in MX/enduro.

If G Force can't help, your nearest suspension specialists are at York (Reactive Suspension), Beal near Selby (Pro-Action), Bradford (Brook Suspension), Manchester (Kais) and Warrington (Maxton Engineering).

Contacted G Force and they're located in Hexham like you said, he can re gas the shock for £5

Should be able to..they only connect up to the shraeder valve on the res and give it a blast..
