600RR rear shock on NC30

Post by Johnny Wishbone »

I've read somewhere that a 03/04 CBR600rr rear shock fits on the NC30.

What I want to know is has anyone done this and if so, is the shock length the same as the original and does it fit straight on?

Please don't reply telling me RS250 or GSXR rear shocks fit as I'm aware of this but it's the 600rr shock I'm after info about.

Pretty sure it will bolt straight up, but the res will hit the undertray/battery if you don't mod or change them.

Would be great to see some pics of one next to an NC30 shock. I'm pretty sure that length wise they're the same but I was concerned I'd need some sort of spacer/bushing to mount it to the linkage.

It doesn't look like a genuine CBR,RR item upon inspection as its adjustable on the coil.Even tho' the add says from 07.
But for £45 i thaught id take a chance.
Al let you know.

That isn't the original shock. On the plus side it has no resevoir that I can see like the O.E item, which might help in fitting.

And RR7 has the shock like that.
