Post by goose »

I hope someone can help with this,i have just got my first superfour its a 1993 model big one.
The tick over seems way to fast, but only when the bike has warmed up,now i am very new to this bike(only had it a week)and very new to bikes and my knowledge is very limited, can someone tell me how to ajust the tickover and what the ideal tickover speed should be?
thanks

How fast is a fast tick over? My bike idles slightly higher when its warm. Sounds like you just need to turn in/out your idle screw. Adjust it when the bike is fully warmed up though.

I think around 1000-1200RPM is the idle speed for this bike. Do you know where your idle adjuster screw is? Should be a knurled screw.
