cheers bud, not sure yet about year round use, im getting it road worthy, then will insure it in april when my insurance goes down to £230fc and see how it goes, may well sell the cbr, and buy a cb500 for a winter hack and tart this up :)

£46 mate, missed a mint set with just 4.2k on them the other week, they went for 60 i think. in retrospect it would have been easier and cheaper to just buy one of those motrax blue gearbox thingies, like i have on my cbr

Reckon you got a bargain there! I've got a blue converter on all jap bikes, they are good and give a really good accurate reading, but I hate the way it makes the speedo cable just too long that interferes with the forks! Just a slight critiscm!

I agree there mate, I have one on my Tri-Arm, but fortunately I've managed to route the cable so it doesn't interfere, basically all of the slack is on the other side of the infill panel.

I'm thinking of buying some of those black RO solid alloy bars, because a set of new standard bar ends will end up more lol more updates as they crop up (like the ebc prolites I have on the way from ABR )

Managed to get a vid of the VFR, not the best as I was trying to keep an eye on where the camera was pointing as the throttle grip needs to be glued on lmao

got the yoke nuts swapped over, unfortunately didn't have a 41mm socket to hand so chewed up the old nut with a pair of stilsons getting it out. It had corroded to the stem, but hopefully a light application of copper grease will prevent this from happening again :)

Got my new headlight bulb sorted, DSS sells them at £14 + VAT, got it from wemoto for £10.45 delivered :D

Got it all hooked up, but realised some mug has been working on the bike and has ripped one of the wires out of the back and replaced it with a crimped on spade connector I went to Halfords and had a nose around, picked up a new connector for less than £2.50, and as soon as I get time I'll make a proper job of it with solder and some heat shrink

I've swapped both tail bulbs because one was blown and they were 18/5Ws which are a little more awkward than 21/5Ws to get hold of

Aside from a rear reflctor until I get the complete undertray fitted I think it's ready for a fresh MOT can't wait for the good weather to come back so I can ride the damn thing!

Put a deposit down on an NC35 front end :D really looking forward to putting this on the road now, the current forks will most likely end up in my NC23, just for the better brakes
