CBR400RG Aero NC23 Float Needles:

Post by sparkster71 »

Afternoon all,

I'm after a set of float needles for an '88 CBR400RG NC23 Aero if anyone knows where I can get them from please? I've just had the day from hell stripping, rebuilding, stripping, rebuilding and I can only think that the float needles are not sealing fully.

Bike runs ok without the fuel pump (i.e. just gravity fed) but as soon as the fuel pump is connected and starts doing its thing, Carb 1 fills with fuel and it pours out from the overflow. I'm thinking its the float needles and have asked Mr France about them, but just in case, is there anywhere that sells the original or pattern ones?

Also, does anyone know if I can fully remove the fuel pump from the system without it being detremental?

Cheers in advance,

Sparkster71.

Hi mate, are they VD type carbs (the type will be cast into the side of them)?

If so, you'll be able to use the float needles from NC23, NC24 and NC30.

Honda shared these parts amongst a few models.
