Ducati front end fitting kits. Updated 06/08/08
I've been asked if it would be possible to have some more Ducati front end fitting kits machined up. The kits are only suitable for the Nc30. The kits are machined from Ducati genuine parts and are very simple to install, they allow the fitment of Ducati 748/916/996/998/749 and 999 complete front ends (as in Yokes, forks, bars, Brembo braking system including 320mm discs, wheel, etc). I have the opportunity to buy enough parts to manufacture 2 kits, one is provisionally taken by a forum member the reason for this thread is anybody else genuinely interested as the purchase of the raw materials will be out of my own pocket and to be honest I would rather spend the money on my daughter if the other kit is just going to sit around for an age. The kits are the same price as before £73 delivered to within the Uk with a £10 deposit. The kits have been fitted to my own bike, Smevs new project bike and shokrabis track bike.

Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.

Re: Ducati front end fitting kits.
Anything is possible with enough money Viperguy :D
What you are actually asking is:
"Would psychosomatic like to take his RVF to Riley's workshop, leave it there for a few weeks so he can get kits made to suit the RVF head stock as its not been made to fit on an RVF yet and road test it on psychosomatic's RVF. Mean while leaving him to commute 20miles round trip a day on his c90 (note it has a buckled wheel - crashed it in garden, messing about and also miss the lovely riding weather) so I can have nice exotic suspension on my bike, and for the benefit of other RVF owners wanting said moification in the future?"
Question I ask you or anyone else interested is:
"how deep is that wallet?"
:D

Re: Ducati front end fitting kits.
Ok after a lengthy phone call to Riley this lunch time, we are 99% certain that this can be done.
All that stands in the way is your commitment. Lets see how many people actually want this sorted before my bike is pulled to pieces for research only to have no one buy one. I wont be happy to be with out reasonable transport and Riley wont be after spending his time messing on my bike.
Also we need to know how many people are interested for costing purposes, as we will need to get parts machined bespoke to fit.
Obviously the more people who order, the cheaper it will in theory be.
So who is genuinley interested?

Re: Ducati front end fitting kits.
Quick update, for those who ordered kits they are being machined this week and will be with you shortly.
I will be able to make up some more nc30 to Ducati fitting kits if needed as of now with an approximate turn around of 3-4 weeks (s I have now got a reliable supplier of genuine Ducati parts).
The Rvf/ducati fitting kits are moving on now but are still a little away from being finished, again those of you interested in this kit please let me know as I will be ordering the raw materials to manufacture the kits from scratch.
For those of you already with or considering the ducati front ends I will be shortly able to offer speedo drive replacement spacers (which will be considerably cheaper and better looking tha the £30 a time ducati speedo drives).
Whilst looking into these kits I have decided that if there i enough interest I will manufacture an Nc30 to Nc35 fitting kit as it appears these are no longer available from Rick Oliver (please correct me if I am wrong with that statement and if Rick is still producing the kit i will refrain from doing the same conversion as I don't want to step on his toes).
Thanks for reading, all the best Paul.
