I was thinking along the lines of FZR600 forks, etc. seeing as I have three sets in the garage

Fair enough.. no idea what calipers etc are on them.

When I was messing about with 24's I looked into the CBR400 fork tubes / NC30 lower legs, NC30 calipers / wheel etc as a viable option.

Junked it all in the end and invested it in a newer bike and kept the 24's standard.

Much more fun.

I can fit R6/R1/Cat/Ace Blue Spot calipers straight on to either FZ or FZR forks

Will pre 1990 VFR750 calipers fit? They look identical excepting the actual fork mounts, which are a seperate piece anyway :?:

RC24 is it? Probably.

The two bikes were very similar...

Doesn't matter for now, I've persuaded the wife to buy the set on eBay with the braided lines

Brake setup arrived this morning. In superb condition and bolted straight on. I've used the pads that came with it for now as they are less than half worn. Just shows up the soft forks now  Think I'll need to do a fork overhaul for MOT, the seals are weeping ever so slightly.

This system is different to my original one. The lever is span adjustable  and the master cylinder is of the more modern type rather than the two long machine screws holding the cap on   Even has the slider boots on

I've also replaced those horrible white screen screws  Some nice gold passivated M5 hex bolts with washers and O-rings

Non-standard resevoir and brake lever.

Looks like a Kawasaki one judging by the clips on the hose!

Glad it is in decent condition, just make sure the slider pins are clean and greased with proper grease.
