How to clean (black) wheels properly?

Post by silentRVF »

Hey guys,

While I have my wheels off I want to give them a really good clean. They have heaps of dust and the like all over the wheel, with heaps of it built up and stuck in the grooves of the spokes.. I have Mothers spray-on Wheel Cleaner which helps but does anyone have any suggestions on how to really give them a really good clean?

Perhaps I should bring out the pressure washer to blast the crap off it? And maybe use a toothbrush or something to get the crap out of the grooves and hard to reach places??

Cheers

I've had the most success with Mr. Sheen Jonno, try it out, it works just as well for cosmetic detailing. The method I use is spray on liberally, and attack with a toothbrush for the hard to reach places. Then a pressure cleaner to finish them off.
