NC24 Import and the MOT
Sorting out the wiring hash up today. To comply with GB regulations, I've had to disconnect the amber running lights (also the indicators). Now I'm a bit confused with regards to the MOT viewpoint on sidelights.
The switch has a sidelight position which operates the tail light but there is no application for a front sidelight. Do I need a front sidelight to pass MOT? How can they fail what isn't there?

Re: NC24 Import and the MOT
I've not got one on mine, nor a fitting for one.

Re: NC24 Import and the MOT
the NC24 never had 'sidelights'
Instead as you correctly note it uses dual filament indicators that double as running lights.
Depending on the MOT tester they may pass / fail the bike for it. I'm sure if you take the time to explain they should be ok with it.
I had a bike passed that has the indiactors on whenever the lights are on.
However, got sick of people pulling out on me as they are not used to orange running lights like in the states and Japan.
Some people have arsey MOT testers and splice a white LED etc into the Orange / White / Blue White wires and use them as running lights.
My MOT tester is sound and doesn't mind i disable the running lights.
