Thanks for the offer but I am in dudley so too far away.

Tried to start it this morning to no avail, although expected this as i have drained all the petrol out the carbs - but i didnt try for too long as i had a feeling i might burn the starter out. I will try again when i get home from work.

I also noticed i had stupidly left the choke cable pulled out all night - does that mean its flooded before i even start !

I am ready to kick the bike round the garage........then again i would prob just break my toe on the bike the luck i am having with it.

I am sure once its sorted, i will have years of problem free riding.....

The end...

After trying to start the little  for what seemed like an age, i decided to go back to basics - check spark - and guess what no spark ! checked fuses etc but then found a connector underneath the seat had become unclipped slightly - clipped it back in and  hey presto, started on the button.

It still seems a bit rough and isnt idling well, prob still on 3 cylinders but maybe its an intermittant thing as when it started it sounded sweet at first but that might have just been cause i just wanted to hear it live again!

I will take it to be balanced soon and ask the garage to have a look as i am stumpt.

Thanks all for the help - i am sure i will be asking lots more in future. Although i have been a bit stressed with the bike I have enjoyed getting hands on with it and this can only help for the future - it is 22 years old afterall so i have to expect the odd niggle, (I still love it, just now its in secret).
