race looms
Does anybody on here make cheap race looms? I want one for a trackbike that will be running total loss. I have plenty of looms that can be cut up.

Re: race looms
I'm in the process of getting a loom made for my NC30 track bike by a guy who pm'd me on another forum and offered his services.
It's set to cost me £150 but I'm not going total loss, he's just going to eliminate what I don't need but thats what I've asked for. I'm not sure if thats considered cheap but I got a quote from Track Electronics near Norwich and the price was closer to £300.

Re: race looms
Christ for that much i'd want a brand new one made with all new plugs on it.
If your converting and old one all you've got to do is unwrap all the tape and cut off what you dont' need. Not exactly rocket science.

Re: race looms
Sorry meant it is a brand new one but it's basically a loom without all the stuff I don't need but not total loss.
If anyone wants to do one for me, pm me. I can't do wiring, all the wires look the same to me, literally, as I'm colour blind!

Re: race looms
I was shocking at wiring so made my own..... great experiance just got a wiring diagram and set to work cost about £100 all new wires and blocks works 100% and now im not scared of wires :)
I also relocated lots of the componants and simplified the routing for mass centralisation, hence I couldnt just cut up a stock loom or have one made without giving the company the bike to make it around

Spike, do you realise this phrase is a honda trademark? Was just about to report your post....Spike16 wrote:mass centralisation
Kidding, but nice work on the loom, nothing like learning by getting in there and doing it yourself! Hell, I think that's how we all learn best.
