ermm yer..Link Pipe

Post by integra »

I have been looking for a new can for my gk76 for ages and finally found a nice scorpion that does a treat but then realised that my old can is welded to the link pipe for some reason so im gonna need a new link pipe now. I've been lookin on ebay etc for ages but never anything on there so..

Does anyone know where i can get one? or if one of another make or model bike will fit??

Cheers :)

I've been after a link pipe too. Scorpion do supply a link pipe with their cans when you buy from them, I emailed them to see if I could buy just the pipe. They said no! Couldn't beleive it, what a shit company!! What happens if you need spares for their products? You have to buy the whole set again!! Not very impressed.

If you guys are really stuck i can make then in the old school cut and weld style (not bent from one pipe).
Take a look at MIKE's B4 in the linl below to see wot i mean.

I would only charge for stainless and gas about £20 as you need to purge stainless to weld it, but have a small problem of only having 2/3rd's of a 76a and only the front pipes so no OE link to copy. If you can supply me pictures and as many mesaurements as possible it should be easy.

I dont know if i have this right but i heard on here somewhere that a GK76A has a 51mm link pipe so as i was bored i decided to do some research. I dont know alot about bike & i couldnt be bothered to look to much but i came acrossed a couple of sites that said a GSX600F has the same 51mm pipe. I looked at a few pics of them & GK76's and as far as i can see they look the same.. The cans are in the same place & at the same angle, the exhaust/link pipe bends at the same point just below the swing arm, the small link pipe is in the same place & are both 51mm.. heres a couple of pics to judge for yourselfs but looks the same to me.

can anyone confirm if im right cz if so i think i've solved my link pipe issue

Cheers
