nc30 headlamp mod

Post by carpman »

I just thought i would share this with you all , i have just modded my lamps to H4 bulbs i know this has been done probably thousands of times but found that you can use your old Honda jap spec bulbs to make the new adapter rings so they fit ....

All i did was cut off the mounting ring (carefully) from my old dead bulbs with a dremmel then slowly went round the inner edge till new bulbs fitted snugly inside , be aware that there was is a cut out in my old bulbs so i left a small tab to retain strength in the ring....

I did order the adapters from fleabay yesterday along with my new bulbs (phillips extreme and some led sidelights (sidelights were a big pain to get in and working)) b4 doing the above but they haven't arrived yet (not expected to from Hungry) but i will keep as spares if they are they right ones lol my bulbs turned up today so onward and upward i'm impatient and bored so thought why not have a go ..

end result happy as a pig in shite and very pleased with myself

heres some pic's to help

Seconded! Had 55/60w in my NC23, managed to get them out before my switchgear melted completely...

Now takes a while to switch from full beam -
