Exhaust Headers on RVF400 smashed up..

Post by silentRVF »

Just noticed this on my headers, where the two pipes coming from the rear cylinders join into 1.. I guess it's been over a nice bump...

Would this cause a big loss in power?

I want to get an exhaust that looks a bit better anyways so should I just get a full Tyga exhaust?..

Do the Tyga full exhausts just bolt on to the engine?..

Also, just how loud is the Tyga Maggot? Will cops pull me over for it? and will it annoy me?.. Or should I just go for the Tyga carbon can?

Cheers

Yep the tyga kit includes the headers so all you have to do is take the old one off, bolt on the new one (the segments are held together with springs, then probably change the jetting to suit. Although for much less money id imagine you could get that repaired and spend an hour or two polishing and it will all look like new again.

Go for the Carbon. Yes the maggot does look cool but its just so loud. take your exhaust off and run it like that for a couple seconds if you want a (slightly exagerated) impression of how loud it is. The carbon which i have is still very much loud enough but not to the point where it annoys me. and being a straight bolt on is good too for not having to cut up the original.
