HELP!!! electrical problem

hello all i am currently waiting for the AA to deliver my bike back to my house :( i was on the motorway and she just died AA failed to get her goin. we got her runnin but like shit and when ever i opened the throttle it died. oh and also the ignition fuse was pumping out 17 amps. so this weekend i will be taking her to bits to try and sort it. if anyone might have any incline to what may be the problem i would love to hear... please :pray:

When my reg/rec went, it was similar to what you are saying, couldn't start the bike, managed to bumb it but it was running rough. Did your main fuse blow?

not to sure not enough light left in the day just got bike home and i have no electric in my garage so will have to wait till tomorrow will post my progress

Reg rec is probably dead.

You mean 17volts I take it not amps.

Own a NC30 for a long lengh period of time and the Reg rec will give you some jip.. I concur this would be the first place to look.

Just saw your wanted ad looking for a cheap nc30 reg/rec.

i didnt mean cheap in that way just not 60 quid i saw one go for 12 pound the other day. but anyways rec/ reg is fine blew my main fuse but how?

Main fuse would blow if to much current/voltage is trying to pass through it. Have you checked the Reg/Rec as a faulty one will keep blowing your main fuse.

yes tested it and it is shagged so need a new one.... anyone??? :pray:
