Headlight upgrade

Post by porndoguk »

i have been busy in garage this evening,

firstly i tried to add a bleeper to my indicator/indicator on the dash but found out that the polarity reverses between sides and the bleeper i have is polarity sensitive,

anyway

i got the dremel out and carved away at the bulb holders as i keep getting flashed at so i assume my lights were out! ive dropped in a set of 55w osram nightstalkers, and also modified my pathertic side light bulbs to house 5W osram blue ones which are far brighter,

ill get some pics up tomorrow,

i used a set of peugeot 206 side indicators from the scrap yard and the looms to suit, i cut the bulb holder off the indicator and chemical metalled the holder under the headlight and then soldered my loom to the VFR loom and heat shrinked etc,

looks real slick and brighter so will complement the headlight and i can also use the sidelights without the need to use dipped beam in the day as ill actually be visible now!

ill be doing my relay mod this weekend after finding out i dont have one!

connect 2 bleepers in opposit direction. That way at least 1 would bleep at any given time. Or use a relay. The relay would work even if the polarity is reversed.

Beeps in time with the indicators, as a warning that they are on!
