I'm an idiot
Basically I lost my keys , I have looked everywhere.
I was wondering if anyone knew how much it would be for a replacement key from Honda , or if anyone has a spare lock and barrel set they could sell?

If you pull your ignition lock off and take it to a locksmith they should be able to cut you a key.
Dont ask how I know

Re: I'm an idiot
Blank Original Honda Keys from David Silvers are about £6.00 (no good if you dont have one to cut it too
)
There are quite a few companies on the net that will cut you a key based on the Lock / Key Number... (original Honda keys have the key number stamped on them (wise to keep this written down) as you can order a key with it...)
Last time I looked into this when I thought i'd lost my only key (can't remember the company, found them from google) wanted about £14.00 to cut me a key to my existing lock.

Re: I'm an idiot
Quick question.... Where is the barrel number on the ignition, is it the 4 digit code on the top?

Re: I'm an idiot
Theres two types of Keys A/B, depending on the key you have (you have tolook at which side the slot is in.)DanHam wrote:Got a link to the keys from David Silvers? I can't find it on the site.
35121KW3771 - Type 1
35122KW3771 - Type 2
Type 1 is out of stock, type 2 is in stock
Key Type 2
The only difference is which side the slot runs in. If you phone up DSS they'll tell you which key you need by asking you to describe your current key.
Lings.com have both keys in stock.

Re: I'm an idiot
I know this is an old thread, but you've no idea how much your advice has helped Neosophist!
My local Honda dealer couldn't help in trying to identify the keys I require (I have a full lock set
, but not original Honda keys
), they told me I had to strip the ignition barrel off, and get the code from there, none of which helped - hopeless!
I identified the keys I required from the part numbers you supplied above & the photos of each of the 2 key types on the David Silver website. In hindsight I should have checked the numbers in the NC30 Parts Manual, then the David Silver website - which I did as a double check - but still saved me a heap of aggro.
It's just a shame I didn't look last night before I stripped off the ignition, etc... I've got my NC30 on a workshop stand, with it all strapped down, so had to remove the headlight bracket to get decent access to the ignition, etc...
Yeah, so, Cheers!
