nc30 screen mounting

Post by matt_vfr »

Quick question really... how is the nc30 screen attached to the top fairing as standard? Ive got a set of black number plate screws holding it on and its been like that since i bought it. Its starting to bug me that its not right so can anyone enlighten me as to how to "fix" this please :P

With what, pop rivets and washers?!? I thought they were but it sounds a bit pikey to me! Might have to pick up a set of those pro-bolt ones on ebay for 8.99 :P

ive always used black m6 number plate bolts,

but this time i used m6 A2 AFK5 allen bolts and the plastic m6 number plate bolt so they dont crush.

Matt.

I wouldnt rivet it. For two reasons oem nose cones (as we know are brittle) it might clamp it up too tight and crack the nosecone and secondly if you scratch or crack the screen its a pain in the arse to re-drill all the rivets and get it off. Just get some tastynuts pro bolt screen screws job done!!

Hi Matt,
I seem to remember that they were riveted on as standard with a flat headed rivet and special washer on the inside,Part no 64206-MLO-700 PIN,SCREEN SETTING
64206-MJO-000 NUT, SPEED SETTING
Type them into David silver part no search to see if they are still available.
Regards, Rob.
