Re: NC 24....about to start project
I already found the links posted above. They're very good though.
I found the japanese microfiche here too http://www.vfr400.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
Duncan, do you have the japanese manual in electronic format? If you do I wouldn't mind getting a copy if thats ok.
the microfiche is good for parts numbers but the diagrams are sometimes difficult to understand.
I can't wait to get stuck in to this project....just got to get my uni dissertation out of the way!! :)

Those Microfiche are crappy and incomplete
http://www.cmsnl.com/vfr400rh-ii-1987-j ... q=vfr400rh
Go there where you can get a full list of part numbers in english, with descriptions and prices and bike picture of each!

Re: NC 24....about to start project
A quick update folks...
I was checking over the boxes of parts and have noticed a few things are missing. Firstly, there doesn't seem to be a rectifier/regulator. From what I've read the original ones were not so great to start with, so I kinda expected to have to replace this. Probably going to go for the electrexworld one rather than a cheap chinese one.
Also, there isn't a battery so I'll have to get one of those too. I'm also missing the rear undertray with battery box. I saw a few of these on ebay but wasn't sure what the box looks like exactly and what sort of lugs, rubber parts, etc should be there. If anyone has good photos of this part It would be good to see. :)
I'm going to try and get some pictures up soon but I'm very busy with uni just now.
Thanks for all the help so far

Spend £25 on a second hand 2003 - 2005 R6 Reg/Rec instead. Will last a lot longer, and your going to need to save money as it'll cost you an arm and a leg to sort the bike out.
Battery you want is a YB9L-B, Tayna.co.uk do a good Varta one (you'll need to buy the acid too)
Complete rear undertray for £8.95 -- Bargain!
