Back again
Hi, it's been a while due to other comitments & lack of funds
. My son should be going back to work anytime soon, he's been off since the end of November when he was knocked off his bike.
We haven't finished it but he wants it back on the road asap, typical teenager.
So it's almost rideable & we'll finish it in the winter when funds allow

Re: Back again
I reckon that's the best looking 'fightered NC30 I've ever seen. Seat unit looks great. Once the wiring is cleaned up, it'll look even better. CDI location looks a bit precarious
I might change my mind if I see it from the front though

Re: Back again
Cheers lads, it's a Ducati seat unit we've painted matt black. The cdi hasn't got any holes in it so I gotta sort out somewhere to put it. We'll be putting a race fairing on when funds allow with Cagiva lights which we already have but can't mount em without the fairings. So for now we'll use the standard lights. Not pretty but it'll get him back on the road for now.

Re: Back again
holy crap, just when things are going smoothly something bites you
Been working on the bike all day, making supports for the front seat & welding them in place, making up a set of indicators from a box of parts that i had for my slabby project, making brackets to hold em & the number plate, sorting out wires, adding connectors on the ends, we also discovered that 1 of the forks i bought had a snapped pinch bolt
Nearly there-
In our rush to get the bike back on the road i forgot to get some rear pads & didn't realise there wasn't any in the rear caliper
I noticed it was loose when checking everything at the last minute & tightened up the caliper bolts. My son took the bike out & everything seemed fine, when he stopped at the petrol station where he was headed he noticed brake fluid on the rear wheel. He called me & i went to him with my tools. I removed the rear caliper, hose & slave cylinder from his bike & we found that 1 of the pistons had come right out & the fluid leaked out
Here's a pic of the piston
