Looks like a bitsa. I'd not be spending my money on it, that's for sure.

I dont like the colour scheme to be honest. its not an original scheme. Its missing the seat lock which might mean the respray might be a bit dodgy! they look original panels, but on the plus side its had a full service, mot and tax new tyres. So it might not need much. It looks like it has either a full or half stainless system maybe a Yoshimura or an Ethos sytem which is a major plus cos it sounds like he doesnt know that!! Low mileage too!

Depends what you get it for! no more than 1200quid!! But i wouldnt bid without at least looking at it!! You could win it and its a right shed.

Thank you chaps, that's very useful.

I'm erring on not bidding, as I've never bought a car or bike without looking at/driving/riding it first, and there's little point in researching NC30s, then just bidding on one because it looks okay and is near where I live!

As an aside, what makes it look like a "bitsa"? I spotted the seat/lock looked a bit different.

I think what gareth means is the body panels in a kind of original scheme but not!! if you know what i mean, and they look a bit ill fitting!! There are better ones around for the money, low mileage and location shouldnt sway your decision, i went to Shrewsbury for one of mine and then right down the other side of Kent, but they were best available for the price!! If you were near me you could have a look at what your money gets you!

No, didn't bid, was being sensible, and appreciate these bikes are about condition and maintenance, not about mileage (or location!) - the search continues!

Thanks for your help.

Well said that man. a good one is about conditon and not about how much aftermarket bits have been thrown at it to "improve" it or cover damage. there are still a few good honest bikes out there and its worth the wait.
