Re: Programmble ecu cdi
the rtd ignitions cost around £500, they have to be wired into the system i personly have no experience with them as i couldnt afford one, they have a few extra featurs over mine, they use variable maps done via potentiometer and can be programed to adjust coil energise time, my units plug straight into your loom, if you pay a little extra i can supply ones with throttle pstion sensor and variable map which will give you a crude form of 3d mapping but i dont see its relevancy for racing purposes or such a small engine. mine have 2 year warranty and are made from quality components............................................

I have worked with a company to get these units designed for these bikes and other models, i am representing these in the uk and covering the warranty and setup. I personaly havnt produced these, they are made by a reputable electronics firm.

Re: Programmble ecu cdi
dave for north west dont run final rev limit higher than 14900 think its set at 14700 when left me i think you can go a alittle more on that if you have a good valve to piston clearence, a extra 400 rpm over the hrc ignitor will give you a great slip stream aid at them long northwest straights. Did find now dave that if running motors with higher compression the timing needs retarding i have a map for a well preped 72hp motor did the other day and the figures are a little different than the one for stock compression, mail me i will send you a programe of that map we spent a whole day getting this one but you may have to do a little re jetting when done as it leans your fueling a little.
I want to go watch the north west but its not gonna happend ........... will they be covering it live via pc again?

Re: Programmble ecu cdi
dave , how did you get on at the NW? coverage of the 400/125 class was pretty poor...
im interested in the cdi upgrade and have PM'd chris...did your bike pull well down to university..and how was it compared to the SV's? what were your speed trap times like, better than last year?
did you get some before and after dyno data for the cdi mod..?
dan :D
