New Here / New CB400 superfour
Hi, great site!
I sold my Speed Four at the end of last summer and apart from financially I have felt like I have been missing something as had that for 2.5 years and really enjoyed the bike (even toured Scotland on it).
I have been saving for a while now so actually have some savings for a change and since the clocks went forwards and each weekend I have been taking a 2 hour train for see the girlfriend I decided I NEEDED something new.....
1993 Honda CB400 Superfour:

It was brought from Craigs23 who i think is on here. He had someone that got in there first before me and when I was back at Easter seeing my parents his was only 30 mins away so went for viewing and loved it!Luckerly (for me) they no longer needed a bike for work so I went to pick it up this weekend just gone.
Done about 300 miles on it so far and is just the sort of thing I was looking for. Not too fast and easy to eat the miles up but enough power to be fun when needed.
Managed to get 170miles before turning the reserve on and gets ~55mpg so far which is ok considering I have been ragging it a little!
Also, the bike is so smooth, gear changes are effortless and is really smooth through the whole rev range (which the speed four wasnt).
The storage is massive, in here is a 1.5m chain+lock and a smaller lock. Very handy to carry stuff I need for the weekend 8O

I won some downpipes on ebay for not much but they are mild steel and so are painted black. Tempted to get a can for it so can have it sounding nice but think is looks quite classic with the orginal exhaust system, opinions?

If that is CraigS's old bike then it will be very clean!
It looks great standard, I don't know about changing the exhaust.

I can't see the images at work but I'm guessing that'll be 'guess who' on here. That's a very tidy bike indeed, I wonder what Craig's going to be getting next?!
Keep the standard pipe work on there.

if you like the quiet, smooth sound of the pb1 then just stick to the stock exhaust system
