NC30 Frame Question
Hi all,
I picked up my first NC30 at the weekend so this will no doubt be the first of many questions.......
On the left hand side of the frame (from being sat on the bike) running under the tank is a small threaded boss that has been welded on. What is this for? Mine (like other bikes I've seen) is currently securing the tax disc holder!
Secondly, also on the frame, above the left footpeg is another casting with a hole in with nothing attached. Any ideas what this is for? There doesn't seem to be anything attached on any pictures of bikes I have seen.
Surely Honda had a reason for these?
Graham.

Re: NC30 Frame Question
Hi Graham, unless I'm mistaken the first threaded boss you speak of is to fit a steering damper to - but a well set up Nc30 really doesn't need one hence you having not seen one fitted on other bikes (some track bikes have them, when I bought my nc30 donkeys years ago it had a steering damper fitted but I soon removed it). The second unused lug is to mount an Rc30 type torque arm to but you will see even fewer bikes with these fitted as the parts don't come about too often as they are mostly still fitted to the origonal exotica that the parts come from - the bike on which the nc is modelled. I may yet be corrected on this but its what I believe is right.
Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.

Re: NC30 Frame Question
The first one is used for fitting a steering damper and the second is where the rear caliper torque arm mounts on the RC30, so they put the mounts on the smaller NC30. It is unknown whether the NC30 was ever going to have the torque arm factory fitted but some people have used the parts from the RC30 (iirc slightly modified)
