NC30 Hydraulic clutch

Does any one know if its possible to replace the cable operated clutch mechanism to a hydraulic system?
if so, what parts are required???

Yes it's possible, I replaced the clutch cable on my CR125 with a hydraulic one as a strait swap as it was an after market item:

I think it will fit the NC's, I have one of these clutches in the garage and could see if it will fit if you like? I think they cost about £150 but should be a really easy upgrade.

Not sure if you can fit a clutch set up of a later model bike, worth a trip to the breakers!

was there not something like a vfr750 front socket cover that fits the nc30 and has the hydraulic slave cylinder but you lose the speedo drive. i could see the benefits on the track for that but no speedo makes road use a little harder.

maybe this coupled with a digi dash would be different...

The nc24 uses a hydraulic clutch, the parts might bolt straight on.

Was it not the 21 that had the hydraulic and was retrofitted to the 24 by guys on here?

Why bother anyways?? Cables work..and are lighter

Yes.. the NC21 clutch cover fits.. you'll need to modify the cover to fit the speedo drive though..

Then you can use the NC21 pushrod and either NC21 master cylinder or VFR750/800 clutch pushrod.

It is true that a cable clutch is lighter.

A hydraulic clutch doesn't require adjustment and providing there maintained (checked every couple of months for signs of leakage etc) they can be much more reliable in the long-term.

Each to their own.. I much prefer the feel of the hydraulic clutch.

Hmmmm

so apparently a cable clutch is lighter....must be something wrong with mine then, its bloody heavy compared to VFR750 clutch
It causes me so much pain, I almost dropped out of the BMF National rally a few years ago with clutch wrist ache
When I'm back in UK i'll have a good look at the cable and mechanism?
Its been the same since I got her 13 years ago

I think they meant lighter in terms of weight. Not the force requred to operate it

1/2 the problem may be is that I dont have another NC30 to compare it to!!!

must ask the wife if I can get another one!!!!!!!!
