NC30 Gear change

Post by Urahara » Thu May 06, 2010 8:34 pm

If theres a certain knack to it pardon me!

But i have been have problem with the gearbox. Shifting 1 and 2 is fine. But shifting to 3 it sometimes gets stuck as with shifting to higher gears. Never any problems downshifting.

Any idea on some finetuning to make it work nicer?

Thanks guys

I have found the gear lever can be hard to move on upwards changes when cold.

I fitted a reverse lever from CG125 or VFR750, and this gives a better change, but with more travel, it eliminates the linkeage slop.

Check that the gearshift is attached to the spline in the right position.

There's a round mark stamped into the gear shift lever and into the spline, make sure they are aligned.
