Took the NC30 exhaust heat shielf off today
what a rusty old piece of shit! won't be putting that back on in a hurry.

after 7 years of looking at my bike without it, i put it back on and pefer it. just need to get it sand blasted and powder coated.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

No i never use one. I think unless there in mint condition that look shite, carbon ones look pretty good, seeing the pipes looks better

Taken both of mine off, they were rusted and looked pretty crap!!

Don't think I'll ever put mine back on either, unless I manage to get a nice carbon one. Much prefer to see the pipes, especially if they are nicely polished.

On the NC30 I did fit one as it was fitted with half system of Laser Jama, no space left for it. Then got fitted full ethos system and find the pipes needed to be seen.
Now on the NC35 I took the shield off when I fitted the WR's battle step kit. The TSR pipes do not allow to fit the exhaust shield (I tried it with an nice carbon shield I got some while ago, but no real space for it so sold carbon piece), but hey...titanium pipes must be visible of course!

cheers. just back from approx 100 mile blat and never really gets that hot around there. pipes are now filthy again though!

Rhory, you are right. It is not the pipes but it's the WR's that fouled the space for a heatshield.
