rvf carbs on a NC30

ive just bought a set of NC35 carbs for my NC30, Any advice on set up, do you drill the slides, etc do they run richer? just wondering on jetting for my full Ethos and twin stack.

Kris do not drill them. try 110 / 112 setup and go from there. i bet that will do the trick.
also you will need a RVF opening and closing throttle cable too

I just fitted some HRC slide springs to mine and they make a decent difference in pick up.

jetting wise - I run no airbox lid, short bellmouths and a 3 sheets of HRC foam filter. 130 mains front and rear - mondo rich for a bike with an airbox..but bob on for mine - I'll find the dyno graph - the fuelling is peachy.

I like them, seem to have a faster response and the nuts and bolts aren't as fecked..lol

new cables required and possibly an airbox tray - the NC30 seems ot sit too far left but can be battered into the right position.

std RVF is 108 jets..so don't go crazy for starters..

@Mark, How do you fix the filter foam in place with no airbox lid??

gaffa tape my good man!

I use the filter tray, bolted down with washers and the foam is gaffa'd like a goodjun. Had them in bits this weekend to fit some HRC slide springs, should have taken a few pics..

Ive got some 35 carbs with short stacks doing nothing, What power you getting from that setup mark?

lol - you've not seen my bike have you? Gaffa tape, zipties - mechanically bob on but tired!

I got 59 mighty bhp out of it at BMC with the Yamamoto stack and testing the ignitech vs std CDI

57 on the ignitech, 59 on std..

The motor in no9 has easily gone over 70k and since I got it 5 years ago it has done 35+ trackdays and the Nurburgring so not an easy life. Had RVF carbs on it for maybe 3 years, open box for over 2 - I think it needs a refresh and will be onto it when the +2mm pistons arrive.
