Carbon air tubes (NC35)

Post by Carlos »

Some time ago I made some prototype air tubes and tank cowl in carbon for my RVF, They were a proper pain to make and the moulds required were over complicated. I am currently looking at remodelling them for a simpler mould design resulting in a better and cleaner looking end product, perhaps even a tank cowl with integrated tubes, however this seems just too much work for only one set.
So, if there is sufficient interest from you guys I'll go ahead, if not I'll stick with the ones I have. Here is one of them.....

make some carbon goodies that will fit vfr's and rvf's then you will have a much bigger market, how about a hugger with chain guard included or a swingarm protector (one that covers the are behind the footpegs as i have scratching there :D )etc, thats just my thoughts any how

o and im sure there will be people interested in these, they look so damn good! but then so does all your stuff!

Hard to give an exact estimate until modelling, tooling and prototyping is done. The ones I have done so far were very labour intensive indeed hence I am rethinking the project to get a better end product which is less hassle to produce and therefore less cost. I'm still thinking and drawing and will be watching this space for comments.
Thanks,
Carlos.

Very interesting topic, let us know if you have more details in getting these air tubes made. I'll be interested in them. ;)

That looks fantastic and I would love a pair of them, plus the cowl too; I'd have everything in carbon if I could afford it, but money's to tight to mention! :(
Good luck! 8-)
