Will an NC30 later type remote res shock fit an NC29?
As it says on the tin or subject line, will an NC30 shock fit an NC29? And what will the difference be? My friend's NC29 shock is wrecked and I have a spare NC30 one that's in a wee bit better condition so thought I'd swap it out.

Not sure about length, but NC30 has different mounting type at the bottom of the shock than NC29.DoktorMandrake wrote:As it says on the tin or subject line, will an NC30 shock fit an NC29? Working on fitting a R6S shock to mine now, I've already fitted a F3 and a F4i and didn't like the way either felt because of the spring rates. But I trying this one and gonna pick one of the three then get it sent out to get re-sprung. If that don't work then it'll be a Penske 3-way.

This is out of this topic, but I'm using Fox Racing CBR600F3 rear shock. Preaty happy with quality and handling, much better that stock showa from F4i, but pricey..cajun wrote:Working on fitting a R6S shock to mine now, I've already fitted a F3 and a F4i and didn't like the way either felt because of the spring rates. I have a re-worked F2 shock on there not but the spring weight is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too stiff. Has a 14.2 KG spring. Too stiff by about 3KG for me. But these are cheap alternatives for the time being, but eventually to run with Vemon51 on this board a 600RR (08-09) front end will be fitted and Penske rear. Ive just sunk too much money into this thing as of the last 3 months buying motors and what not.
Buuuuttttt. I fitted the R6s shock up today and out of the three it feels the best, has the most adjustment too. Just needed some spacers on the lower eyelet.
