Chain and Sprockets

Post by micpec »

Anyone info and/or advice about chain and sprockets options for an RVF (need to replace them on my RVF).

I've heard about a 525 into 520 convert (and about X- and O-rings chains), but what are the pros/cons for such convert ??

Do see a lot of different brands as JT, Stealth, D.I.D., AFAM, RK, Renthal, EK, Tsubaki...
but what is a good quality kit for the RVF (as in chain and sprockets)?

And whom have experience with a different gearing than standard (15F-38R) on road performance ?

Input welcome :)

Rick Oliver is your man. I just got JT sprockets and DID chain from him this week (to be fitted at the weekend).

He will be able to advise and provide what you need!

He is a member on here but your best bet is to send him an email:

Thx! I already mailed Rick O. about my questions.

Basicly I now need (quite urgent) a rear JT steel sprocket 38tooth for NC35, I can get the front 15tooth and DID chain locally. Have planned motor trip in about 2,5 weeks to Germany/Austria.

Nope, not me! I know Mr. Rick O. is a busy man these days, but I received my reply not long after...he is a top bloke. I ordered the rear sprocket and some other bits.
