Smev, I will be posting very soon!
(at the moment I am very busy, so I have not got spare time to finish my bike, it is currently half dismantled due to some work I planned on it). Will try this week to finish it though.

Re: Smevs Bikes - Past and Present!
Well I've been out in my garage this evening for a little bit of fettling!!
I initially went up to see if the bike started ok for the Trackday I have next week. - It didn't start
The Translogic wasn't 'seeing' that the bike was in neutral so wouldn't allow the bike to start.
I decided to just quickly whip off the front fairing and have a look at the wiring to tr sorting it out - and before I knew it I was fitting RAM AIR!!!!!!
I popped the RVF carbs from Riley on, and the Fuel pump from Dixie on, next came the Air Box from Drunkn Munky, a little bit of fiddling and its just about there!!
I need to try to finish it off tomorrow so fingers crossed
If not then I can always revert back to the standard sytem I had fitted before
Bonus!!

My Mrs hates it when something like that happens!

Make sure your carbs are plumbed in and set up for ram air properly or your have no end of troubles
Also not sure if its necessary but the fuel tap on my ram air'd RVF has everything removed, filter, tubes so its basically an on/off switch. Its also running 144 front and 148 rear jets if that helps.

Re: Smevs Bikes - Past and Present!
Hmmm.......... Forgot about doing the fuel tap - maybe I'll just try it with the RVF carbs at the moment.
I need to get a little bit of sealant for the airbox too so Thing I'll whip the fuel pump off and the Airbox lid and look into doing that when I have a little more time to sort it properly - only a week til the trackday and I want to enjoy it not worry about whether the bike is working right!!!!
Plus I need bigger jets - its currently 110 fronts 112 rear - way off whats needed!
Thanks for the heads up on that one Tony - do you have a twin stack system on your 35?

Re: Smevs Bikes - Past and Present!
Yeah best leave the ram air untill you got more time to set it up, i think viper did a write up on modding the carbs and plumbing, have a read through that. Also i think RVF carbs are 110 all round unless yours have been changed, youve got the twin pipes like mine so you'd probably get away with bigger jets. Did you get the short stacks aswell? if you did you could fix a foam filter over the carbs and use the kevlar box, someone recently posted a setup like that with 138 jets and raised needles. HRC map for the CDI maybe?
Have fun on the trackday, where ya going?
