Hi,
strangley my nc30 had been doing the same thing since i started using it this year after the winter!! i've got the idle mix screws out 2.5 turns to richen it up a bit at tickover and was fine last year, but now it wont blip on the down change and running well rough at tickover! I've had the carbs off and checked everything but cant find anything either!
Now i got the headgasket done on me car i can have a better look and put it all back to standard and see wat happens i think.
Hope you find it, and i'll let you know if i find anything out aswell.
Cheers
Ian

The idle circuit passageways can get blocked quite easily if you leave fuel in the carbs for long.

The only way to get rid of this is by ultrasonic cleaning.

Not sure if that's your problem, just wanted to get the point across that not all fuelling problems can be adjusted out.

Ooh thats sorted it. guess what i found ?
all slides were standard as were the needles. one needle had a .5mm washer underneath it for some reason.

However i had a set of NC24 slides so thought "in for a penny, in for a pound" so the carbs are now

Fronts = 118
Rears = 120

Airscrew 2.25

Slides = NC24
Needles = NC30 + .5mm washer

Rest is standard, airbox and filter are standard, pipes standard now, and it goes like the clappers. fuels really nicely and is v responsive. dare i say best its ever gone IMO

Bah! You ruined it...! I was gonna guess "check for an extra half mil washer on one of the needles!" but you gone and ended the quiz too early! :ban:

Do I still win the prize of a loan of your RC30 'til I'm bored of it anyway?

Shameless whore post just so I could use the ban smiley... ;)
