Rear Shock - What Grease etc to use?

Post by marty400 »

Hiya All,

2 Questions:

Q1) The Haynes manual talks about "Molybelium disuphide" grease, or something like that

I have LM2 grease - is that the stuff?

Q2) Also, Is there thin runny stuff that can be used on suspension? (When I got the bike back from Red Cross suspension it had it around the rear shock area...)

I'm thinking - every so often - drip some of this runny stuff on, and if the bike is on the side stand, it will work its way down inside, along the bolt overnight, or over the week!

hope you can advise

Cheers
Martin

molyslip is the name of the stuff they sell in halfords
its a really really slippy stuff that you are supposed to put on your shims when you are doing the clearances.
it comes in a runny format.
